Treasures--how I assess Grammar

Abby (over at The Inspired Apple) shared how she assessed her kids on reading fluency and word automaticity. This has really helped me in my classroom.

I thought I'd share how I create a weekly Grammar skills test. In our system we have to "grade" our kids in Language Arts --which must include a variety of areas. I didn't want to base the score on Spelling/Dictation tests alone. I didn't want to use Grammar worksheets as I really teach my grammar through songs, poems, morning messages, etc.
