Measurement with Plants

We planted bean seeds during our recent plants and seeds unit. We also just completed our measurement study in Math. With my kids' green thumbs they were able to measure their plants. It was fascinating to watch them use the terms inches and a "foot" and sometimes having to add another ruler because a "foot" wasn't enough!

 Also, we used story problems to find the difference in the height by measuring on Friday and then again the next Tuesday. The kids' had to determine how much the plants had grown.
